We were tasked to have a discussion with our created technoliges in Malls, Fast food Chains and Houses. I am so amazed of the technologies that what my group mates constructed. They were very imaginative and very creative. There are many technologies that I will never fail to remember. Each one of us were task to have at least three technologies but I will only give the technology every group mate that I really like and I think it will give a big contribution to our society if someone will make it to reality.
Malls
Problem (1):
Jerland Datoy said that in the mall he doesn’t like to fall in line especially when the line is very long. I agree, because it is very tiring.
Solution(1):
He constructed a new technology called “Auto Counter Machine” he said that this machine doesn’t need an operator. Once you’ll put the things that you want to buy in the basket it will automatically can the barcode of the product. Not just that, this technology can also accept your bills to pay and he named it as a money receiving box beside the basket. This creative technology can also read you credit cards
Problem(2): The first problem that Kristine encountered in the mall is the security and the assurance. She said that she is always annoyed with the kind of security they have, talking to Victoria Plaza. The guards will not totally check your bag. They will just touch it using a stick. She also, find it hassle to open her bag especially if she has a lot of bags, which is true, and it can bother the person next to you.
Solution(2):
Because of the problems mentioned above, she come up with an idea to create a
Security body scanner located in the doors inside malls that would scan a person and automatically detect harmful objects. This is a big help for the security of the mall. It could detect if the customer will bring objects that are prohibited inside the mall.
Problem (3): Parents will be busy on buying things, if they have their children with them there is a possibility that their children will get lost in the huge mall.
Solution (3): In this problem, Jose Diacono made a solution. He fabricated a new innovative tool named “Holographic Information Monitor for Missing Children” Jose Diacono said that this system would help parents find their child with ease and it will lessen their time looking around and waiting for the right time to find them. Also, this technology has a holographic monitor that contains the picture of the missing kid together with his/her description and the details.
Problem (4): Customers spend so much time looking for a spot in the parking area.

Sherry and therry has a solution for the problem above:
Therry Charm constructed a technology named “CarPark Locator” According to Therry, this technology will let the shoppers see the entire map of the parking lot. Red cars represent a taken spot while green cars represent and empty spot. This technology will help the shoppers locate empty spots without having rivals because cars get inside the lot one by one. The lanes have sensors so when you get into the lane, it will automatically appear taken on the locator. Upon leaving the spot, it will also automatically appear as an empty spot on the locator.
Sherry Casal fabricated a technology named “E- Car Park Query Directory Board” according to her it is an electronic directory which displays the whole parking space lot in the mall. In addition, the system is directly monitored and operated by the mall guards. This is a waterproof device.
Problem (5): Shop lifters
Solution (5): Sherry has a brilliant idea for shoplifters the “Shoplifting Identification Management System” it is a system that checks and tracks shop lifters through an embedded and sealed GPS and RFID chip on a price tag and to the product as well.
Problem (6): Taking a hard time looking on what product should they buy
Solution (6): “Virtual Info Customer Assistance” is your answer for this problem. If someone will make this to reality, thanks to Raven for the idea. Anyway, According to Raven this technology can effortlessly decide on what product they would want to buy. Each store has a device that would tell for the customers on what product name and its prices they should purchase to the store for them to be satisfied. This device will also look like a small recorder displayed in each area of the products you would like to go.
Problem (7): CCTV Camera
Solution (7): Jomarie said that some of the CCTV cameras are just display. Sometimes it is not working. Also, you not sure of the durability and quality of the CCTV. So she improved the CCTV camera and created a “ROTATORY CCTV” it’s a cool CCTV because it is very small. It has an audio that will record what you are saying and it is not pixilated it a high definition CCTV even if you zoom-in at zoom-out it, it is still clear.
House
My groupmates and I were discussing about our technologies. Talking about our house, we have common problems in our house and one of which is the security of our home.
These are technologies that my group mates created for the security and protection of their respective houses.
According to Therry, she will create a “Fingerprint Tracker” She said that this technology is placed beside the doors so that when a thief wants to enter their house and will try to open their door they will be noticed. The technology will alarm if ever the fingerprint is not recognized.
For Diacono, he will construct a technology named “House Security Metal Armor Machine” he said that this technology will be placed in all the doors, windows and inside the roof top of your house. It has a remote control. Also, he said that it is a bullet proof and 20 times harder than the ordinary metal. Whenever it detects an unidentified person it will alert the owner to give him time to have preventive measures while they are inside the house. Not only that, when someone is trying to smash or break this kind of metal while you are not in your house, it will have a device that would be connected to your smart phones via application. And this would automatically inform your smart phone that there is unidentified person trying to go inside your house and tries to smash those metals.
“Wireless Security Alarm Device” by Raven. She said that this device should be installed outside the house. This device can easily detect if someone will enter the house. When it detects, it will automatically alarm if you are not the owner of the house. It can detect if you are a family member or not. In addition, it is wireless so you can easily install it outside your house.
Aside for the security of their things inside the house, my group mates also thinks of a technology that will make our life easier. They are less hassle and stress free.
Jerland said that as a student he may find it hard to fold his cabinet or to arrange his stuffs because he has no time, which is true. So, he decided to create a creative technology named as “Auto Cabinet with fingerprint detector”. It is not just a simple cabinet it has three sections for the clothing, pants, and under wears. It can detect weather your stuff is a pants, under wear, t-shirt, etc. According to him, this auto cabinet has a built-in finger print detector and it has a digital screen which is touchable. Once you use this and it will not detect your fingerprint the cabinet will not open.
According to Kristine, as a student we are very tired from school that we will just throw everything and jump in the bed and take a nap. I totally agree. There are times that you will just throw your shoes and the next day you will look for its pair. So she decided to come up with a new idea to create a technology a “Shoe Keeper Machine”. She said that the shoe keeper machine is somewhat like a delivery machine that when you place your foot wears, this would land it to the proper place. When you place a slipper, this machine would detect that it is a slipper and would place it to the slipper stand. And when it is a shoe, this machine will place it to the shoe rack. This machine also clean the foot wears before placing it in its proper designations. This has a car wash like process - deliver, clean, brush and then polish. And by the time you get up in the morning and go to work or in school, our shoes will be as shiny and new.
“Saving Home Electricity Technology” or SHET is a device created by the imagination of Sherry. According to Sherry, it has a control panel board which is good. It’ll automatically shut down its electric connectivity every time no one is inside the house for a detailed time. What I like about this device becauseit has a memory card that will reports the logs and it shows the records of electricity consumption.
“All-purpose chair” by Jomarie. This chair is comfortable according to her. Also, this device is good to use to prevent backbone dislocation. This chair will transform into a bed so that you you will stretch your body properly. What I like about his device, it has a Bluetooth device and a memory chip. You can play your favorite song through it. You can use either headset or speakers.
Fast Food Chains
These are the problems in the Fast food Chain and the solutions that my group mates contributed while we were discussing our innovations (I’ll just give 1 technology every group mate that I will not forget and I am amazed with):
Problem (1): Therry Charm said that it is very annoying to go back and forth to the counter to get ketchup and gravy and I agree to her. I also find it awkward to walk in the busy aisle of the fast food chains.
Solution (1): Because of the problem mentioned above. She created a technology “Sauce Dispenser” According to her this is very useful so that we can get the right amount of sauce that we like and lessen the hassle of going back and forth, standing from our table just to ask for catsup or gravy. Good idea huh?
Problem (2): How to avoid fire in Fast food chains? We all know that fast food chain is an establishment that serves food in a short period of time. There is a big possibility that in the kitchen something will happen that can cause fire. Also, if someone will smoke inside the fast food chain there is also a possibility that it can cause fire.
Solution (2): “Digital Smoke Warning Button” is a solution for that problem according to Jose Diacono if there is a fire somebody should push the button and after that, a voice would warn smoke users to stop smoking inside the establishment. If all these security techniques and technologies would be implemented and installed, this might be the perfect place among all food chains in Davao city.
Problem (3): falling in a long line just to order foods. This is very irritating and tiring. Also, as a customer, sometimes if I saw that the line is very long I am already discouraged to fall in line and to stand for a long period of time.
Solution (3):
Jerland and Sherry have a solution for that:
Jerland has a solution for the problem stated above. He comes up with an idea to make an “On-Table Counter” he said that this technology bring the counter to you. You have to look for a seat then you can now easily order your favorite foods. Also, the top portion of the table is a digital screen. This technology is very user friendly it is touch screen so that customers can able to pick their orders automatically and electronically. The user can also, see the menus of the fast food chain. After taking your orders the table will automatically transform into an ordinary table so that it will not be destroyed.
Also, sherry has an answer for the problem. Her technology is ETM which stands for “Electronic Table Menu” According to her, it’s a table embedded with a nanotechnology. It displays the menu of the fast food chain. Also, it allows the customers to order their products and it has calculator that computes your order.
Problem (4): looking for available seats
Solution (4):
Kristine and Jomarie has the same problem but they have different solution
Having that kind of experience, Kristine Faith came up to the idea of having a seat availability and digital directory monitor. This technology intends to give the customer a hint if how many tables available inside the fast food chain and if there are still seats available. According to her, it has a digital directory wherein you can click the vacant tables and a graphical location. By using this system, you can also minimize the crowd inside the establishment.
While Jomarie has this Crowd Detector/Seat Availability. According to her, it has a color coding for the customers will be aware of what is happening inside the fast food chain. Red for overloaded, yellow for moderate crowd, and green indicating that there are still lots of seats available. It is best to display outside the food chain, near the door.
Problem (5): Waiting for the Crew to clean the messy tables
Solution (5): Raven has an answer for that problem a “customer-crew communicator or C3” According to her, this is very useful for the customers to easily communicate their customers. The device will be installed on the table wherein it would be a messenger to send the message directly to the crew. You just have to speak on the device then it would detect your voice message and pass it directly to the crew.
